Photography: Color, Photo on Canvas.
Morning Blues is an impressionist style image of the gorgeous blue and teal colours of the beaches on the Isle of Harris. For me, Blue is the most enigmatic, emotionally charged colour. The infinite number of subtly different colours combine to create an image that recharges the soul. To stand by these waters at the break of dawn is an intense experience that is made up of morning blues.
About My Work
I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special prints of my work I use dreamy, light textured Canson Canvas and the highest quality inks. I print the canvases here in my studio to control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image.
About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon. Canson paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp for their materials only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.
This print is available in other sizes or paper. I am happy to take custom orders, just drop me a line.
