Ayelet Zer Sheinbaim is a ceramic artist and potter. She creates and teaches in her studio in Moshav Be'er Tovia where she has lived since 1996. Many of Ayelet's works deal with documentation and memory. Family experiences, childhood memories and the body are reflected in material imprints, monoprints and paintings on ceramic and porcelain fragments. Ayelet creates ceramic sculptures in alternative firings and also uses the special qualities of the ceramic material, the textures, the natural colors and simple shapes without ornaments. Her language is often based on series of works that together make up the complete story. As someone who likes to observe, the act of photography is an integral part of her work and she combine photography and video art. Ayelet has participated in many group exhibitions, a solo exhibition and residency programs.
