My New York - Lady Liberty Print

I live in a very small town and love my walks in the woods. So my visit in New York was exciting and overwhelming at the same time. All that sounds and lights I wasn't used to - not to speak of the amount of people I met in such a short time. After a few hours I noticed that I needed more energy to focus than I usually do. Of course I had brought my camera on that trip but it wasn't easy for me to switch from my usual nature inspired, calm photography to that big city full of energy and many new impressions. I remembered my favorite lens which helps me (technically) to concentrate the focus on the main subject of my photos - and that was the one I didn't take of my camera on that week I was in New York. It allowed me to see all those famous places and sights my own way - this is why I call this series "My New York". Since most of my photography is black and white, it was a natural decision to choose it with this series as well. In my opinion, it supports the reduction on the most important subject even more.
