ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a part of a series called "The Importance of Being Alone" - There is a feeling of silence but also mystery. I tend to be drawn to things that are just slightly amiss much like I feel most of the time. I am most in tune with with myself when taking photographs alone. This image was inspired by my grandmother. I was living in NYC and felt like I was always reaching for my southern roots while redefining myself.
