ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Waves normally break on the beach, or against a cliff, but these ones were so big, they were breaking on submerged rocks away from the shore. You can't see the bottom of this wave beacuse water has been drawn off the rock it is breaking on, creating a sub-sea level hollow/ This hollow exists only momentarily, just before the wave breaks on the rock, exploding as a 'Cornish Firework'!
