Anyone who's passed through Moab, Utah, will surely recall this stretch of road. I snapped this photo from a rather bustling rest area, both due to its scarcity in the region and the captivating vista. I remember a lady traveling solo, I think she hailed from San Francisco. She asked me to take a couple of photos of her with her phone. Naturally, she wanted to have the backdrop of the view you see. She nearly took a tumble backward. Just the way things unfold, as they say.
