About The Artwork
This work grew out of the #Huevember practice on Instagram, where each day, a different hue is suggested for use in artwork. After the project completed, I reviewed the images I had made, and began an artist hand-bound book of works, displaying one image for each day's hue. A few of the pages, insapired me to consider treating them as stand alone, larger scale, finished work inspired by those daily quick sketches. I've been especially interested in making digital photographic prints that reference the original "in camera" image, but take the work in very different directions, as well as interested in the notion of repetition with minor alterations.
