Named one of the world’s best photographers by Lurzer's Archive, Ray Lego (nicknamed "Lego") brings an unmatched energy and intensity of focus to each and every one of his projects. The versatility, range, and creativity of Lego’s photography and creative direction has been trusted by Nike, Miller Light, ESPN, MTV, Warner Bro's, 1800 Tequila, The Gap, Comedy Central, Maxim, Rolling Stone, Dr.Martens, Adidas, GQ and Volkswagen and countless other innovative and leading companies all over the world. He attended School of Visual Arts in New York and is the founder of CutTheFat Films, an award winning multi-media company specializing in design, photo, and film. Lego's approach to photography is fluid, precise, and quirky. “The camera helps me take random pictures that describe how we see – not all at once but in separate glimpses," Lego says of his practice, "Experimentation, creativity, innovation helps me push the envelope of photography. Versatility makes my work unique, I adapt to each project specifically and try not to let my ego get in the way." When he is not shooting, Lego works with the charity he founded, Slot Care Kidz, which is dedicated to making the lives of children in specialized care hospitals happier and healthier through the activity of slot car racing. Slot Care Kidz is a wonderful charity that brings a normal activity to kids in a "not-so-normal" environment. He is also involved in Green Chimneys, dedicated to animals and nature, and Bailey House, which helps find families living with HIV and AIDS affordable housing. Lego likes to play Lacrosse and is a devotee of vintage Formula One racing, in addition to the films of Michelangelo Antonioni and birthday cake.
