ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Proteas grow wild in the mountains in my hometown in South Africa. Not only do I love having them in vases in my house but also to photograph them. I enjoy historical photographic processes especially cyanotypes where the images are developed in the UV rays of the sun and are a lovely cyan blue. Cyanotypes were discovered in the mid 1800's and these images have a beautiful vintage look and nostalgic feel about them.
