About The Artwork
Photo numbered and certified. The photograph shows a group of men called "costaleros" in Seville. They are in charge of carrying the image of the Virgin Mary in a structure known as a "step". Its name comes from the kind of sack, called "sack", which they use on their head to support their weight.
