ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Mission District Summer Evening Cityscape, San Francisco, California The Mission District is a neighborhood in San Francisco, California, originally the lands belonging to the sixth Alta California mission, Mission San Francisco de Asis. This mission, San Francisco's oldest standing building, is located in the northwest area of the neighborhood. The Mission District, also known as La Misión, is a historic neighborhood in San Francisco, California. It is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, with its name derived from Mission San Francisco de Asís, which was built by the Spanish in 1776. The Mission District is situated in east-central San Francisco. To the east, it is bordered by U.S. Route 101, separating it from the eastern part known as the “Inner Mission” and its neighbor, Potrero Hill. Sanchez Street marks the boundary between the Mission District and Eureka Valley, which includes the sub-district known as “the Castro” to the northwest, as well as Noe Valley to the southwest.

I've had a creative impulse from a young age. My art is a means of self expression and to create images that I can revisit and enjoy. Inspiration is not something I can quantify. My artwork recreates a mood or a feeling, I also like making purely decorative images. Hopefully other's enjoy my artwork.
