Dayle Ann Clavin
Austria
Born in Los Angeles, Dayle Ann Clavin studied music in Salzburg, taught classical flute at the Landesmusikschulwerk Upper Austria and performed chamber music. In the early 1990’s Dayle discovered her love for photography and in the following years exhibited in galleries around Austria including the Nikon Gallery, Vienna, Pan Optikim Gallery, Burgenland, 44iger Haus, Leonding Linz, and the Anton Bruckner Zentrum, Ansfelden. In 2001 She graduated with honors from The Prager Fotoschule. Dayle has won awards in international photography competitions including Prix de la Photographie de Paris, International Competition for Women in Photography USA, and the International Photography Competition of San Diego County Fair. Her work has been published in magazines such as PHOTOGRAPHIE, and the book” The World’s Greatest Black and White Photography”. In June 2014 she was awarded the EP Qualification by the Federation of European Photograhers (FEP). In October 2014 Dayle Ann Clavin was a Nominee in the categories of Fashion and Fine art in the Black and White Spider Awards. In November 2014, she recieved a Silver Award in the Creative Composition category of the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International). Competition. In March 2015 she recieved the FEP European Wedding Excellence Award at the FEP European Professional Photographer of the Year Awards 2015. In November 2015, she received the Honorable Mention Award in the category of fashion as well as 3 other nominations in the Black and White Spider Awards 2015. In January 2016, she was a finalist and among the top three of the Austrian Wedding Awards. Since 2017 she has received 28 bronze awards in the Portrait Masters Awards and Accreditation of Sue Bryce Education. In July 2020 she got a Silver award from WPE International Photography, Second Half 2020 Only Competition. In 2023 she received two second place awards in The Cosmos Awards. In 2023 October , she recieved two gold Salzburg State Awards for wedding and portrait and beauty . Dayle Ann Clavin lives in Salzburg, Austria. She offers elegant and timeless images with an emphasis on a fashion oriented and fine art finish. She also specializes in dance photography which she recently has dedicated to professional mentorship education and photo shoots.
