ABOUT THE ARTWORK

From 4 years I'm photographing Sant’Agata with the intent to tell about the feast. Anyone who knows the feast of Sant'Agata knows that it is an arduous undertaking. The feast of St. Agatha is the most important Catholic feast of Catania. the third most important religious feast in the Catholic world for the number of people involved, after the Holy Week in Seville and the feast of Corpus Christi to Guzco in Peru. Almost a million people for three days, celebrates the holy and the devotees, all dressed in white robes, they shoulder the relics and the statue of the saint, completely decorated with gold and precious stones huge. This photograph shows the exit of Sant'Agata from Catania Cathedral. Limited edition of 20 copies. Each copy is numbered and signed accompanied by certificate of Authenticity.

"The glass always returns an image of ourselves, it does not matter if it reflects the image of the viewer or captures what looks, that glass, which is a mirror or a lens, will always reflect what we have inside us." I was born in Milan in 1971, grew up in Ostia Lido, Rome, and after touring Italy in 2014 I stopped in Catania for sentimental reasons. Today I am the father of three children. Always attracted by visual arts and cinema in particular, I approach self-taught photography in 2011, strongly influenced by the "magic lantern". From 2014 I am working on the "Cinderella project does not live here anymore", with review of the key in human myth, revealing flaws and weaknesses, of which I made 3 of 8 stories project. Waiting for the necessary funds for the development of my stories and other projects closer to man and his story. I have exhibited in several collective and personal exhibitions both in Italy and abroad, including New York, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, Calgary and since 2012 I have been active in a portfolio with the photographic agency Art + Commerce Photovogue Collection.
