Alejandra Valdivia

About the Artist

Alejandra Valdivia

Chile

Alejandra Valdivia (b. 1982, Santiago, Chile) explores the geometry, rhythm, and hidden order of everyday spaces.
Working from directly above, she transforms planes into visual compositions where line, scale, and the silent dialogue between objects reveal patterns that go unnoticed at ground level.

Her work emerges from a particular way of looking: one that uncovers in each space a structure and an order that exists, at times invisible, before the camera reveals it. Valdivia seeks not to escape the world but to reconcile with it, to discover, in familiar spaces seen from an unusual perspective, an unexpected and quietly insistent harmony.

The result is photographs that decontextualize and resignify the everyday, images that invite the viewer to pause, look again, and find meaning in what has always been there.

Her work is produced as signed, numbered limited editions and is held in private collections in Chile, the United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, France, Germany, and Spain.
