ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This was one of the pictures I took for my exhibition at Venice Biennale, 2003 or the slums are kids who knew what was popular amongst the middle class. So they fabricate their own reality of a snooker board or billiard and play the game when they steal time from errands from their parents. They pay a token to play part in this game till the individual loses and goes home. I saw resilience in the rough of a winning spirit we all can learn inspite of challenges in life.
