Thousands of years of thawing and refreezing snow shaped Bryce Canyon’s rocky landscape into thin spires called hoodoos. As soon as I snapped this photo, I rushed back to my car to escape the impending blizzard approaching over the horizon, hoping that lone hiker would follow suit.
