About The Artwork

The protagonist of Adrian Nojek's #photograph knew too much! That is why, most likely, she was the victim of a bullet well aimed at her head, which caused her heavy fall to the ground. In fact, death seems to star in the work not just once but twice, as it is already inherent in the photographic medium itself. In fact, the latter artistic tool freezes time by killing the continuity of the flow of life, in order to synthesize it into a static fragment, aimed at representing an instant stolen from the totality of reality. ? If we really want to be #macabre then, it is also possible to highlight an actual and concrete relationship between photography and death, as postmortem photography was indeed a photographic practice, which, developed in the Victorian era, fell into disuse around the 1940s. While the earliest works of the genre depicted only the face and torso of the deceased, later, and more precisely in the period between 1840 and 1860, it was customary to immortalize corpses placed on a couch, who, with their eyes closed and their heads resting on a pillow, appeared to have simply fallen into a deep sleep. Leaving aside the aforementioned disturbing subject matter, #AdrianNojek, a Polish professional photographer, sun spotlights the fragility of living beings, accompanying this viewpoint by a special interest directed at the nudity and fragility of women and couples, subjects investigated through lighting of a new and visionary kind.

About the Artist: Inspiration: In 2019, I realized it was time to fully embrace my love for art and discovered photography as my medium of choice. My inspiration comes from various sources, including people I photograph, painters, sculptors, photographers, natural world, human condition, current events, and social issues. Artistic Background: I received my fine arts degree in sculpture and had a promising start in the art world. After stepping away for 20 years, I found my way back to art through photography. Unique Aspects: My work is characterized by a unique perspective, attention to detail, and personal touch. I have a keen eye for capturing unique perspectives, meticulous about capturing every detail, and infuse my work with my own personal style and vision. I also experiment with different techniques and editing styles to create one-of-a-kind images. Artistic Approach: As a fine art photographer, I aim to create evocative and thought-provoking images that elicit a range of emotions in the viewer. My work often centers around the human form and its expressive capabilities, and I strive to create an emotional connection with the viewer through composition, lighting, and post-processing techniques. Creation Process: My process for creating my works often includes a combination of spontaneous and planned elements. I like to take inspiration from art classics and other photographers, but make it my own. Before a photoshoot, I have a general idea of the concept and emotions I want to evoke, and I spend time scouting for locations and models. I then take one shot from each angle during the photoshoot and do not retake or crop the images. Overall, I believe that my perspective, attention to detail, and personal touch make my work unique, captivating, and meaningful. My goal is to create photographs that tell a story, evoke feelings of empathy, connection, and understanding, and spark a conversation.
