Still Life With Fruit And A Butterfly Print

According to the data of the Lost Museum, Poland has lost about 75% of its cultural assets and the probability of finding most of them is small. "Recovered" is an artistic project consisting in the creation of photographic works that are reconstructions of works of art constituting cultural assets that were destroyed or were taken from Poland during World War II. The main assumption of the "Recovered" project is to create artistic works that reflect the atmosphere of works of art, whose fate remains unknown. Recreation of "Still Life With Fruit And A Butterfly" by Anne Vallayer-Coster The work was created in the form of a staged photograph taken in studio conditions subtly supplemented with computer treatments. The basis of the photos was the reconstruction of individual elements of the painting from paper. The painting was printed in a format similar to the original lost work. Original "Still Life With Fruit And A Butterfly" was stolen from National Museum in Warsaw.
