My work reflects my rural palette. It is autobiographical, and always carries a feeling. Its part of my life journey. Striving for equilibrium, and contentment, and relishing beauty in all forms. My perpetual pursuit of a partner, and the fantasies that pervade with wanting that. I am distinctly drawn both energetically and magnetically, to objects and viewpoints. When I spot the moment I like to capture it, and so entrap the feeling. (My work is never edited with software. Only highlighting, contrast... Never airbrushed, or smoothed over, and I rarely crop) My journey from losing my marriage, home, father, and children, has given me passion to create. More recently my positivity is reflected in my poetry, which works alongside my photography. (Orange Brown) Lazy orange sunshine brings long nights. Darkness ushered by dogs, mustering the Autumn sky, Their barks echo across shy pastures, Saying, "its time!". Leaves tire from cheerfulness. Once waving in shiny arrogance, In the sunlit days before, They relinquish their sap to the roots. Moistened green sheen waves goodbye. Boughs exuding their dry leaves, Like a chrysalis skin, Shedding old leaves to reveal bare bones. Bold dappled shadows cast away, Exiting in hand with the golden globe. Like lost lovers they vanish, Sold to the gloom. Dormancy signals in Orange. Nature waves farewell in a russety frown. Resting required. Nuts hiding, where the signal turns brown. Worms delight in the damp ground. Riddling through the wind strewn Bramleys. Orchard trees rotting in harmony, With their lost fruit. New to old. Hay-like hillocks give way to wet carpet-like grass, Moistened green leaves succumb to crunchy orange brown. Old to dead.
