The project was created in response to the times we live in, in which everyone must or wants to become a warrior, fighting for their rights. It is also about compulsion to belong to a certain formation or social group with which we must subsequently identify. So I went back to antiquity, when as part of certain rituals or following pragmatic motives, men and woman began to paint their faces. Mainly it happened for military reasons to scare away the enemy or rituals associated with traditional beliefs. Currently, face painting has become commonplace. Everyone paints their face woman, men; to look better, to cover imperfections, to hide their emotions or identify with someone or a certain group of people. Everyone has become a warrior, which we often don’t know. The presented photo may differ from the original one due to individual computer settings and manual developing in the darkroom. May contain dust and small impurities. The presented photography is digitally processed, which means that there are no small imperfections.

Katarzyna Glowacka, born 1995. Fields of artistic activity: photography, video installation, graphic design and printmaking. Recently, I focus on creating collages and abstract graphic images, but a large part of the work I create also refers to analog photography. Black and white, analog photographs are usually cycles that relate to a specific problem or topic that interests me at the moment, very often in my works I focus on people's emotions and the way they are communicated. The latest cycles are "I still hope ..." and "Warriors". Most of the work that I create is self-made prints on baryta paper, which become the final stage of the entire creative process. Collages that I create refer to nature, animals, insects and the beauty of feminine nature. At the same time, while maintaining enigmatic and aesthetics characteristic for this type of creativity, I try to place as much emotion as possible in them, emphasising the economy in form and minimalism that characterises my creative perception.
