Life as a commuter in Tokyo is one of going about your business and not engaging with what is going on around you. However, it is impossible to ignore the bright lights and thousands of other people trying to do the same thing as you. Not forgetting the workers who are also keeping things running. This photograph is a glimpse of all of that but from a distance. The viewer is immersed in the rush but also separate and in their own world as an observer, which can be quite similar to the disconnected (on a human level) experience of being a commuter in Tokyo. The original artwork is signed and numbered on the back and printed on photographic paper.
