ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Happened upon this beautiful tall masted-ship heading south on the Chicago River. Fall = time to head for the winter berth for storage, restoration and relaxation after a busy summer cruising Lake Michigan around Chicago. Windy's trip west then south on the Chicago River necessitated the raising of all the River bridges to allow it to pass through. The masts are as tall as the spans of the raised bridges and I was privileged to see this amazing ship traversing the Chicago River - this only happens twice a year during spring and fall.
