ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This image is from my photography series entitled Taro Reef. The collection of images were all photographed in an (edible) taro patch on my small art ranch in AkahtiLândia, Brazil. In the winter of 2015, the leaves in the taro garden often presented themselves as ocean waves. As most of us, I have observed these kind of forms in leaf structures before throughout the years, but have never seen them emulate the ocean to that extent as that particular garden did that one winter. This particular picture Taro Reef #3 is printed on heavy canvas and would look beautiful framed in light wood.
