Ankita Hazra is a painter, photographer, designer, and dancer who performs in a variety of styles, from Classical to disco to folk. She reimagines genres and media. She frequently travels in order to photograph rarely seen vistas and celestial events, such as the Himalayas and the verdant Nilgiris woods. She is a versatile and multidisciplinary artist who hails from Kolkata, West Bengal—India's Cultural Capital and the City of Joy. Her Education: - Diploma in Fine Arts(Painting), M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT (Indian Institute of Technology), PG Dip. in Indian Classical Dance(Kathak). She is an Engineer from IIT (Indian Institute of Technology)- which is a premier institute in India and is a Gold Medallist in the International Biotechnology Olympiad, School topper, 2nd in her country/ Nation, and 14th rank Internationally in the same Olympiad the consecutive year. Her mysterious paintings, watercolour and oil paintings, prints, photos, print-making prints, drawings, oil pastel drawings and sketches aim to capture the forgotten corners, deserted highways, and other nowhere areas of existence that artfully abstract the common impression of space and landscape. IShe also creates images that emphasise the interplay between nature and architecture, creating images that explore ideas about space. She creates scenes that show the progression of geological eons and periods using figurative and architecturally inspired imagery. She gives the subject of her art piece structure and emphasises its beauty through the original use of light and shading. She frequently allows the border between reality and fiction to be blurry in her art. Contact:- “The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.” - Aristotle
