Stephanie Salvatore is a documentary photographer based on the West Coast, United States. She began her career in photography eight years ago, working for multiple news media publications out of Los Angeles, California. As a documentarian, her work has spanned across multiple genres, from features on local politicians, film directors, musicians, and tastemakers, to longer-form stories covering natural disasters, protest marches, and NGO’s across the globe helping communities to break the cycle of poverty. Over the years, Salvatore gradually migrated into digital marketing photography, focusing much of her work on food, travel and culture. Her aesthetic, still largely rooted in photojournalism, seeks to convey authentic storytelling imagery, utilizing natural light, organic textures, and the sense that something is continuing to happen beyond the frame. Salvatore’s work has been published by The Santa Monica Daily Press, CNN, Photographers Without Borders®, Greenpeace, Prevention, Everyday Health, PureGreen Magazine, UNICEF, One Prosper International, The Surfrider Foundation, Hollywood Reporter, Pret-A-Reporter, C Magazine, TheFeedFeed, and Yahoo Food. She is also a regular contributing artist to multiple global marketing agencies and publications. Her fine art photography is largely produced in and inspired by her natural surroundings on the west coast of California: the quiet calm of the ocean, mussels and moss embellishing the shorelines, a coastal fog settling into the deep of forest tops, the soft waft of salt air sneaking in through a side window, a lighthouse standing along the rocky shore stoically in solitude. Salvatore primarily operates out of her hub in Los Angeles, California; however, her work continues to take her across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia.
