My passion for photography began 37 years ago... Years passed and everything changed so quickly. From black-and-white negatives in darkrooms and studios to slide film and then digital photography, it's been an incredible transformation... I've been living in New York for 24 years. Life looks different from every window; you close one and open another. You have to know where and how to look. At first, I didn't differentiate between photography styles, and that increased my sense of freedom. I could see the details of the world through a small frame. Exciting! To raise awareness about violence against women, I opened the 99+ONE exhibition featuring the profiles of 99 women. I started with an outdoor exhibition in a symbolic park in New York. I wanted to draw the attention of young people in Mudanya, Turkey, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Mercy University in New York. I also published an album and a book. I strive to find the beauty within everyone I photograph and bring out their inner truth. I want to thank everyone I photographed and who felt free in front of my camera.
