Too Much! - Limited Edition of 10 Print

Expressive self portrait photo art taken and created to show the internal battleground that is my subconscious mind. This work is part of my thoughts and emotions series. Sometimes I get totally overwhelmed, totally lost. So much so I cant actually do anything. The volume of thoughts in my head combined with the overload of sounds and visuals in the real world all just become TOO MUCH. This is why I make art. To clear the thoughts and emotions so that I can get on with the simple daily tasks, like working or interacting socially. All the images in the artwork are mine with the exception of the bird. For me the artwork was fairly simple lacking the huge volume of layers I would normally build into my work. The hardest part was the shoot, where I hung the frame in my front room then captured 30 or so images of my hands and arms coming through it at different angles, each one then had to be masked out and placed in the frame. The intent was to show the pain of indecision and the emotional anger it causes me combined with the NEED to take photographs and make art so I can find myself again. Fall into the depth of my confusion and emotions and join me on my journey. Anyway, this is available as very special limited run of framed prints on Fuji Crystal Archive paper, mounted under 2mm acrylic glass presented in a floater frame made of 15mm wood painted as black oak.
