The colors and compositions in my photography are influenced by my experience as a painter. In my most recent imagery I've been exploring the wonders of color. There is the beauty of blue, the romance of red, the glory of green, the mellow of yellow, the mystery of magenta, the cool of cyan, the presence of purple, the grandeur of gold, the courage of orange, the pretty of pink, the vibrancy of violet and it just goes on and on until it reaches Lumaland which is a collection of vibrant seascapes infused with surreal color gradients. Each composition frames a silhouetted foreground against an intense sky reflecting on water. The use of saturated hues magenta, cyan, yellow, and deep blues creates an otherworldly atmosphere. Textural water ripples mirror the sky’s color transitions, lending cohesion across images. Compositions often center the horizon line, emphasizing symmetry and reflection. The silhouetted elements provide a strong graphic focal point, breaking the gradient planes. Cloud formations are abstracted into color fields, shifting between warm and cool tones. Occasional bird silhouettes introduce a dynamic sense of life in these dreamlike scenes. I've been experimenting while exploring different aspects of light and color spread. Overall, the series balances graphic silhouettes with polychromatic palettes, evoking a fictional, luminous landscape.
