A closeup of the workings of a typewriter made in 1910. I liked the geometric shapes and worn metal. The print is one of 5 plus two artist's proofs. It is made on Epson Velvet Fine Art paper which has a mat surface. It is signed and dated on the lower right in pencil and titled and numbered on the lower left in pencil. I made this image in 1983 with a medium format film camera. I developed the film myself. Recently, I scanned the negative and made this print using an Epson Stylus Pro printer, 17" X 22" Epson Exhibition Fiber paper, (which looks like gelatin silver fiber paper air dried) and archival pigment inks which are rated to not fade for over 300 years. There is a border of 1" on the right and left and a border of 2" on the top and bottom. It is signed and dated on the lower right in archival pen, and titled and numbered on the lower left in archival pen. I have put my thumb print on the reverse to prove it's authenticity.

BLACK FRIDAY SALE ON MY WEBSITE https://russmartinandmarciamartin.com Mr. Martin is a citizen of the USA, having been born in upstate New York State and spending his youth in the small rural village of Clinton. Because of this exposure, and frequent trips to their summering spot in the Adirondack Mountains, nature became a part of him. Naturally, it would become expressed though his art, which was inspired by his father, a part time professional photographer and amateur watercolor painter. When he was young, professional cameras were ever present, as well as a fully equipped darkroom. There was a mystique about photography, and "that place", that he wanted to know, so he convinced his father to teach him. Thus began a life long career as a fine art photographer. Later, he went on to study fine art photography at college, and earn an MFA in photography so as to be able to teach photography on the college level, have time to produce his work, and earn a living from what he loved. He was a fine art photography teacher for over thirty years, and is now retired, having done so in 2008, to concentrate full time on his work. Over the years, Mr. Martin has won numerous awards and feature articles have been published about him in national and international publications. Recently, his pictures have been featured in the UK, Australia, and the USA. His flora images of hosta plants have won first place awards in the Prix de la Photographie, Paris, the International Photography Awards (The Lucies), and the International Garden Photographer of the Year.
