"Where Blondes Come To Dye" is an abstract and contemporary exhibition that explores the relationship between text, contemporary photographs and the meaning they convey. The exhibition topic explores young people's hardships and struggles with a focus on unsuccessful relationships. The project explores the nuances of their often unhealthy lifestyle and psychological traumas as people between 18 and 25 often have to deal with pressure to figure out a direction and navigate through overwhelming emotions. It captures and juxtaposes the moments of one specific individual's lifestyle - a young and free-spirited woman troubled by the unescapable pressure to move forward and develop as an adult. Having to deal with unsuccessful love relationships, confusion and anxiety about what is next to happen in her life as an adult. the project presents a negative and dark side of the youth around the world. The exhibition title. "WHERE BLONDES COME TO DYE" is a play on words. As blonde symbolises innocence, purity and vitality, it is suggested that there is a place where the character dy (i)es. In other words, somewhere where she loses the positive qualities represented by her hair colour. The idea for the title is inspired by the song "Self-Control" by the pop singer Frank Ocean from his 2016 album "Blonde".
