I took this photograph at the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center in Santiago de Chile. The students and the stairs waited for the sound of the bell warning that it was now possible to go up to the library. I captured that movement of the students and the space allowing it.

I have always believed that the appearance of a problem and chance are prepared for a non-casual encounter and allow, if you are attentive, to decipher a solution that will make you walk in another direction. This chain caused get into photography long time ago after an unusual and unexpected order dressed up as chance. A regular client of the Interior Designer profession asked me one big day for a very particular photograph of the Palacio de Cristal in Madrid where I had to reflect a dreamlike autumnal atmosphere and the passage of daylight. At that time the leaves were yet to fall and I waited days to also find a sky that would enhance the perfect environment. I set out, located the angle and planted my tripod for hours (just so that the last shot was the streetlights on so I could capture their golden reflection on the pond). The different shots were merged into one with a studied editing to achieve the final setting. When I handed it over, the gratitude and the immense sensations that I felt throughout the process were the trigger for the beginning of my newly released vision of reality interpreted at my whim through Photography. My problem back then became non-existent and kicked out immediately Pillars in life from which I need to continuously nourish myself: travel, freedom, solitude, observation and Architecture merged into one and I decided to challenge myself with more personal commissions. I urgently gathered my motorcycle, my car, trains and planes to help me with them to find what I sensed places with sensations, and with my tripod in position it would be a matter of hours of observation and notes to start visualizing my particular version of reality, which later in the digital laboratory would end up giving it its final shape, weighing techniques of deformations, duplications, speed control, people, light ranges, multiplications, perspectives, etc... that would help me by intentionally interfering, infringing and manipulating time and space to be captured situations that would not otherwise have come together at the same time. It is to see in another dimension the same as always. Give an opportunity to the inert to be placed in another way.. I always think that there must be an encrypted message in each one of them, but it is not my intention for the moment to decipher them, although I do want to freeze them in time to give myself time, staying alone for the moment with the sensation of peace that I feel when I see a beginning of meaning.
