The image from the project "Proximities" that explore my relation to the landscape. Through long exposure and interacting with landscape, each image from the series becoming a documentation of a performance. "Why would you do that?" captures a duration of the conversation with a friend, during a hot summer night.

Lukasz Kubicki (1986) is a Polish visual artist, currently conducting a practice-led research (Ph.D.) at the University of South Wales (UK). Using photography as a primary tool, his work investigates themes of duration, pace, trace and time explored through work of Bergson, Deleuze and Barthes. The labour, long walks and nights in the studio, incorporated in his practice provide an innate and elusive ambiguity, that blurs the devision between the artist, a tool and his surrounding. Often black and white images, and nuanced tonal pallet alter the perception of the space and time.
