Yulia Shybirkina born in 1984 in Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk Ukrainian artist lives and works in Odesa her practice encompasses both documentary and artistic photography. In her projects, Shybirkina goes beyond photography, also working with video, textiles, installations, and art books. Her artistic research focuses on themes of memory, identity, and presence, unfolding through experimental photography, textile interventions and visual narratives. Recurring motifs in her work include the body, landscape, and loss. Using manual techniques - cyanotype, collage, and embroidery - works with silence, trauma, and transformation. She actively maintains a digital diary #miraclegraphicarts, where she publishes autobiographical works based on her own experiences and reflections.
