"The Dreamer" might represents the artist's desire to decode the Romanian folk costume heritage, to climb the light thread stitched on silk fabric and achieve the knowledge our ancestor lived and leaved in time and space. She comes back to the roots to understand the sky. This image is inspired by the nature surrounded me for few years while I traveled for this project in South Asia, the Pacific shores with different shapes, textures and colours, which makes me create similarities with the chromatics, textures and shapes of the parts of the Romanian ethnic costumes (I used to carry with me around the world). "The Dreamer" invites the viewer to contemplate the essence of light coming from above, revealing the ancestral language - see signs on the cloth, and vanishing into the deep roots beneath the ground. The metaphor of this image is that beyond the immediate visual surface there is light and darkness as well, likewise in a dream. The girl in the picture is not a professional model (like all my models in this image cultural project, HYPERBOREAN FOLKLORE). The photograph is part of the largest and unique image cultural project I created in a contemporary fashion key, named HYPERBOREAN FOLKLORE, with the desire to promote the Romanian ethnic costume and our cultural values around the world. The Romanian ethnic shirts pictured in the photograph belongs to my ethnographic Romanian costume collection and they are unique pieces. Every Limited Edition photograph comes with the original hand made AUTHOR SIGNATURE in gold (gold stands for the ancient goddess empowerment, symbolises the open path to mythic icons of every culture of the world).
