Always a love of mine, now, this solitary rhino is amongst the last of its species. I want to pay tribute to their majesty and grace. The solidity of their form and their wise, soulful eyes and presence in our world take us back to the primordial, the time before. Linocut is a basic print form which grapples with the primitive. Bold blocks of colour and subtle lines seem to be able to express the energy and peace of the subject.
