ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work was inspired by the sculpture of Henry Moore. I started with a collage of printed photography shot by myself at various places. I then used a process called "image transfer" which is tedious and messy. I usually rub my index finger raw rubbing all of the paper pulp off the back side of the transfer image. Some people use tools to do that but I trust my finger best. The final work was transferred to treated mulberry paper which is one of my favorite materials to work with because it seems so fragile but is super tough. It is beautiful and strong which is how I like my coffee also.
