About The Artwork

This artwork represents the shameful behavior of the ICI in New York when—during the Moscow show trial of Pussy Riot in 2012—they bestowed their prestigious "Leo" (Castelli) curator award upon Vladimir Putin crony Dasha Zhukova, wife of Kremlin-compliant oligarch Roman Abramovich. This was a shameful event when NYC's fine art elite set aside moral principles while they went in search of tainted Russian oligarch wealth which belonged to the Russian people.
