La Vida Breve is an opera in two acts written in 1904 by Manuel de Falla to an original Spanish libretto by Carlos Fernádez-Shaw. I was listening to this opera while making this piece!

I am an award winning multimedia artist with a primary focus in Monotype Printmaking. I was born in Bangkok, Thailand and now live and work in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. To achieve the aesthetic of my abstract-expressionist prints, I use cut-out shapes, vibrant colors and found-objects for textures. A print is a mirror image of what I painted on a printing plate. Monotype prints are one of a kind, but I can sometimes pull one or two more faint “ghost prints” until the ink is completely gone. A ghost print can become the base for a new, layered work. What I enjoy most about the printmaking process is the element of surprise. The thrill of exploring is addictive, and it keeps me going back to my studio day after day. A recent comment from an Instagram follower: “I’ve been following the art of (Oi) for some time now. The simplicity in forms and lines with intriguing compositions resonate with me in some way that I cannot explain and that's fine with me. Everything in life doesn’t need an explanation!....” AA Contemporary
