Painter/printmaker Linda Goodman lives and works in the San Francisco Bay area. She has been making art, teaching and exhibiting in the USA and abroad for over twenty years. A pioneer in monotype, hundreds of artists in the Bay Area have studied with her, often receiving their initial exposure to the medium. Goodman has received numerous awards, fellowships and honors, including a 2015 Residency at Chalk Hill Artist Residency at Warnecke Ranch & Vineyards, Jerome Fellowship from Kala Institute and a Residency at Malaspina Printmaking Workshop in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Linda has exhibited widely in the US and abroad. In 2010, Il Bisonte International School of Graphic Arts mounted, “C’era Una Volta a Firenze (Once Upon a Time in Florence)”, a retrospective of her work made in Florence and the US. Goodman has a deep appreciation of Italy and a special relationship with Florence, having lived and worked there repeatedly. Goodman has been on the faculty of art at City College of San Francisco; Stanford University, Florence, Italy; Mission College in Santa Clara, CA; the Art Institute of Chicago; San Francisco Art Institute; Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington; University of Oregon, Eugene; University of California, Berkeley; the California State Universities of San Francisco, Sonoma and the East Bay; and Mills College, among others. She has designed and led art workshops in the US and internationally — at SACI, Santa Reparata, and Il Bisonte School of Graphic Art, Florence, Italy and in Greece at the Skopelos Foundation for the Arts.
