The artwork is a visual homage to a piece of music I hold dear; That Summer Feeling by Jonathan Richman. The work is about the joy and freedom of long summer days and specifically those of one's youth during school or college holidays. The colours, textures and forms evoke a heady mix of excitement and anticipation, just as Jonathan Richman sang, 'When the smell of the lawn makes you flop down on it... that summer feeling's gonna haunt you, the rest of your life'.
