The Ache - Limited Edition of 5 Print

For this piece I wanted to continue my Emotions of Stone series, which uses statues, light, and color to explore universal concepts and emotions as filtered through rigid masculinity. This piece is called The Ache, and it speaks of the inner ache we've all felt at one time or another. When reality and the dream are out of sync. When what we want and what we need are two totally different things. When the right thing to do is also the difficult thing to do, but you have to do it anyway. And the pain becomes so great that it feels as though it will come bursting out at the seams. Whether it takes the form of addiction, jealousy, unhealthy dependency, loss, heart-break, etc. we have all suffered from The Ache at one time or another. I made this piece to help channel out some of my own aches for a while. May it help you understand that you are not alone in your struggles. All canvases come with sawtooth hangers for easy installation, and a special treated coating that will give a nice vivid color while protecting from minimal scratching, dust, and water damage. Expect about a 2 week production window, after-which shipping and delivery will occur.
