About The Artwork

THE WORK IS MADE WITH WITH MATERIALS OF THE BEST DURABLE QUALITY. "The GOD of Science and Abstraction - PICTA 26” is part of le PICTA, evocations inspired by the Itineraria picta - ancient maps painted on parchment rolls that were found in Roman libraries, which was inspired by Apollodorus of Damascus to design the Trajan's Column. He makes reference to SPIRA 3 of the monumental installation Columna mutãtio - LA SPIRALE exposed at the Mercati di Traiano - Museo dei Fori Imperiali, Rome, 11-28/2017 until 11-18/2018, interprets the Column of Trajan, masterpiece of Ancient Roman world, whose message is the "mutation" of meaning in the turning of history, the dialogue between its value historical, artistic and archaeological and our contemporary world. "Gli DEI" sees the GODS as protagonists, considering that both the Romans and the Dacians had a polytheistic culture. (God of Fire, Goddess of Lightning, God of Construction, God Blacksmith, God of Abstraction and Sciences, God of Architecture and Buildings, Goddess of Electricity, Goddess of the Earth, God of the Wheat, God of the Infinite). To create the icons of GODS I was inspired by the Roman copies of Hellenistic and Roman statues that are found in Palazzo Altemps (Dadoforo, Athena, Herakles), in Palazzo Massimo (Hellenistic Prince, Herakles, Lucrezia, statues of residential villas), in the Capitoline Museums (Hercules etc). My drawings interpret iniconic language these masterpieces, humanized and connected symbolic images, where the human body is not inspired by anatomy, but to the "work of art", composed as the impulses of memory in an open space. Starting from screen printing I developed a my particular painting technique with the aim of creating unique works, and not to produce multiples. The beauty of this technique also consists in the trace left by the layer of ink that runs through the silk screen and in the vital chromatic intensity of the colors. Is a UNICUM
