ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I took the source photo in a thrift shop just outside Copenhagen, Denmark. It is part of a larger series of work that I did from Thrift stores. Drawing inspiration from layers and photography, my artistic journey has been deeply influenced by my extensive travels. I created a monotype using the gel printing process and then hand-painted the monoprint. I aim to create a fusion of memory and a sense of place in my creations. You can see my process of making monotypes on my reels. I aim to create a fusion of memory and a sense of place in my creations. This work is part of a series that has gone viral on Jessica's social media accounts Monotype 25x20 cm on white bristol Signed
