ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired by a marathon run in wine country in Northern California. The original silk screen stencils were hand cut and took a considerable amount of time. There was an edition of 100 and they were 23x36 inches. A few remain with the artist. The style is more-or-less dictated by the serigraphy process. The artist, in collaboration with Ana Nelson, also did a similarly styled marathon piece for the Redding Marathon. That piece features "the three Shastas" .
