THE HUMAN FOODPRINT 2 explores the meaning of art as a message courier. As art is not only beauty and color but representative of our society and its flaws. The plastic packagings which carry our food, are carelessly thrown away and have an enormous impact on our environment even if their life in our hands is temporary. By reproducing significant amounts of the same plaster objects and painting them individually, they become visible. Their physical presence is supposed to provoke awareness. The second part of The Human Foodprint 2 raises the awareness with a bright, fluorescent and almost unnatural color selection used by animals to warn predators about their toxicity. This mechanism is called aposematism.

We are Greif Lazic, a queer artist duo creating our art with and in love here in Berlin. We draw our inspiration from the pop-culture, cinema, queer life, homosexuality, and pornography. The political situation and environmental crisis are undeniably influencing our art as well. And everything is topped by a mix of irony, sarcasm, and a pinch of cynicism. We like to question human social behavior. We usually work with acrylic and oil paint, but as Marina Abramovic once said: “The real artist always changes their territory, and they go to the land they’ve never been.” We are continuisly pushing ourselves out of the comfort zone. We experiment, try new media, and use all available tools to express our thoughts and observations through our art. We come from different backgrounds like architecture, furniture design, and media design. We were lucky to individually work with studio Formafantasma, Pininfarina, Lavazza and German culture and art TV-show such as "aspekte" and "kulturzeit." We as well had individual exhibitions for example at "Tom Design" in Torino, Italy, exhibited at the Milano furniture fair as well as mentions in magazines such as AD. Elle Decore and Io Donna. After all the experience we made individually we met in 2016 and started developing ideas and painting together as a duo.
