Application Generation Print

The artistic approach of the Application Generation project incorporates references to the concerns of the last generation, namely coexistence with advanced technologies and total preoccupation with them. The project aims to present the young generation born in the digital age, addicted to the use of applications to replace more and more things needed in everyday life. Once born in the era of technology, children of this era are totally included and involved in the life dictated by the possibilities of high-tech evolution. Constantly looking down at the gadget or down due to anxiety. The face is shadowed, hidden, and the informationally cluttered thoughts reflect the total overwhelm in the gaze—the type of young technologist represented in the project. The fundamental question addressed is whether people use apps, or whether they are tools for apps. The project is composed of a ronde-bosse figurative sculpture, the character having the middle position, neither horizontal nor vertical. The represented character has a hidden identity, which allows the globalization of the message, and the finding of everyone in the given subject. The sculpture is made of oak wood (mirroring the natural environment in the character), by carving directly from an oak trunk with the help of chisels.
