This sculpture took part in the international exhibition in Beirut and received special attention. It has also exhibited at the Bologna Contemporary Art Gallery. The basis of the sculpture is a wooden egg, covered with gold leaf and real natural volcanic stone quarried from the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea in Italy. The sculpture depicts an octopus: one of the main symbols of ancient Greek civilization. The metaphor of the beginning of the end, as the egg undoubtedly represents life, which blooms, but the volcano arrives and buries the embryo of a new life with its lava. But are we really sure that death doesn't generate new life? "And this is a change generated by nature, as volcanoes sooner or later erupt!" "Instead this is an environmental change due to man, who with his wrong behaviors determines changes that lead to the cancellation of life". In both cases we are facing the death of life! But we can't imagine that everything ends, so we like to believe that it is in the first case, that in the second life peeps out among the buried rubble of lava or among tons of plastic!
