About The Artwork

Bucephalus was a mysterious horse of Alexander the Great. Ancient accounts[2] state that Bucephalus died after the Battle of the Hydaspes in 326 BC, in what is now modern Pakistan, and is buried in Pakistan. Alexander conquers numerus kingdoms and spread his empire from Egypt to India. Conquer wasn't peaceful. Many died in battles. However cultural and social shift was incredible. Greek way of life spread all over and the base of Western civilization was established. The sculpture represents a reconstruction of the horse mandible. This remains is a tiny detail of that ancient mosaic and one can see a lot in the dry bone.
