ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This altered ceramic box-vase features a tree-bark like exterior, glazed interior. It is visually arresting and simply begs to be touched or examined closely. This cinnamon box was fired in a wood-fired kiln, and shows flashing and ash deposits characteristic of this type of classical firing technique.
