About The Artwork

The work is made from found timbers, and some new timber, such as the outer frame in softwood pine.It as some partly movable parts, such as the yellow sun above, and the white cloud. My inspiration generally comes from much of what I generally find around me living here on the outskirts of Bangkok. Only there's a general lack of good quality art shops here. And so after sometime here now' I wanted to use materials that are around me and in the near vicinity . The hot weather plays a part in this work as does the agriculture of the land around me, and how it is toiled through the cycles of farming. In this particular working theres small reference attachments to the work that to me represent simple symbols, such as the yellow sun and the movement of the cloud, the holes in the back board the rain. the black bit that separates land and earth and the unground workings of nature on the soil, and brown timber shape like tractor cultivates the soil. And so I find wood is a very versatile material that can be utilised and reused time and time again. and brought back to life again and given a nobility via a creative act and some imagination. The colours I use are not a fact, in some pieces no colour is used at all. Just natural wood and some pencil markings in some cases. It all depends of the piece I am working on. This piece here like most of my pieces are made for hanging onto the wall, just like a painting' via a simple nail or screw in order to secure them anywhere. Generally when I am working on an individual piece thats being worked on. My relationship to it at the time dictates its outcome and relationship to things closest to it. Thats how it derives its own sett of rules and individuality. My approach to my work at any given time, is much about choice as it is about decisive action, Only I wish not to interfere to much fuss with the natural accident that makes itself apparent to me in it's making. And its just as important to know for me' when to know exactly when to stop or start to the next portion thats the hardest I find in exploring in my technique. Only Its all about relationships of parts within the making process that need to be carefully calculated into the total sum of its parts and where it rests as feeling finished to my satisfaction. Within the work at all times' therein circulates around the principle proposal of intension and the concept of thought of my theme and interest of space and gaps that I like to investigate and manifest into anyone particular practice.

Norwich university of Arts in UK graduating in a BA in fine Arts. My current work explores a kind of psychological narrative of after thought and internal reflections. My current focus of thought is in a journey towards something that his missing. The gap of in-between of A to B if you like, and finding a point of focus in bringing together that which is separated so that my work in essence acts as a metaphor for many other findings that are in a state play, or a sense of gaps or grief from being apart from something. be that an object or person or anything whereby separation can cause a ravine that is difficult to cross or overcome in it's apparent difference of the distance it can cause. And this apparent sense of play on this thing called space. . .
